Bassnectar fans are in for a real treat tomorrow.
That’s when the DJ and producer will officially unveil his two newest creations: a line of branded chocolate bars and a new multi-day music and camping event.
An article draft mistakenly posted on Bassnectar’s website late Sunday night provided full details on the launch. That post was later removed (see the cached version and screenshot here) and fans were told via Twitter to look for the official announcement on Monday.
Bassnectar Chocolate is certified organic and sourced from wild harvesters throughout the Ecuadorian Andes. Only 1,000 bars will be sold this round and a portion of sales will be donated to charity. The chocolate is being sold exclusively on Bassnectar’s online store.
Also revealed was a Willy Wonka-style “golden ticket” contest, with the grand prize being VIP admission and camping passes for what’s being called “Bass Center 2016.”
Hints and rumors have swirled for some time that Bassnectar is creating a music and camping event of his own and this could be it. A change.org petition even circulated earlier in the year encouraging the creation of such an event. Over 10,000 fans signed their support.
Bassnectar publicly expressed frustrations with volume restraints at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, where he’s held annual multi-night performances. In September, he told fans via Twitter that “there will be no Red Rocks shows of any decent volume in 2016.”
“But we’re putting together plans for something super magical in Colorado where we can play at a decent volume and gather the freaks in 2016,” he Tweeted.
