Electric Forest sells out in two weeks, well ahead of lineup release

Tickets for Electric Forest 2016 are sold out.

A Facebook post earlier today from Electric Forest organizers revealed only 1,000 general admission wristbands remained. A second post two hours later revealed all tickets had been purchased for the sixth annual event, set for June 23-26, 2016 in Rothbury, Mich.

This is the earliest and quickest the event has sold out — just over two weeks after tickets were first available to fans. It’s also the first time a Forest sell-out has occurred prior to a lineup release.

For comparison, tickets for the 2015 event sold out in February, just a day after the initial lineup was revealed. In 2014, tickets were available until late May.

Not all hope is lost for those who waited too long to purchase passes. A very limited amount of tickets typically become available closer to festival dates as some ticket buyers on layaway plans fail to make required monthly payments. Tickets are also often resold on Stubhub and other after-market ticketing platforms.

Electric Forest is an all-ages festival produced by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events.
