Okeechobee to return in 2020 under Insomniac’s direction

Insomniac Events has officially announced a partnership with Soundslinger to reintroduce Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (OMF) in Southern Florida next March 5-8, 2020.

Located between Orlando and Miami in the town of Okeechobee, the multi-genre camping festival was held annually from 2016 to 2018 but went on hiatus in 2019. Much of what fans enjoyed from the festival will return in 2020, including three main stages, a dusk-till-dawn “Jungle 51” house and techno-focused stage, and the dawn-till-dusk Aquachobee Beach experience.

A nighttime pre-party will be held on Thursday night, and attendees can look forward to an eclectic mix of immersive art, food & beverage offerings, performances, yoga classes, life enhancing workshops, speakers, ands its signature artisan vendors in a bazaar-style experience

Okeechobee ticket and camping packages will go on sale at 10 a.m. ET this Fri., Aug. 23. Layaway plans start with a downpayment of $19.99.

Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella says the values of his company and the festival built by Soundslinger were a match.

“I’m a big fan of what Rechulski and the Okeechobee team have built, and honored to be able to lead such a unique event and continue the journey,” said Rotella in a press release.

“This is one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever set foot in. As someone who tries to always put culture first, I recognize how passionate this extraordinary community is, and I’m excited to bring this festival back and make it better than ever.”

Insomniac has made significant investments in Florida recently, expanding their EDC Orlando event to three days this November, and announcing the acquisition of the iconic Space nightclub in Miami.
