The annual Electric Forest Festival — an Electronic Midwest favorite — kicks off in less than 24 hours in Rothbury, Michigan and we’ve got a sneak peek at some of the stage setups.
This year’s festival is set to be one of the greatest yet, with an expanded forest, additional stages, a solid lineup, and of course thousands of beautiful people.
But first, we must share some inspiring words from Electric Forest’s producer Jeremy Stein, who posted earlier today on the festival’s Facebook page:
As many of you read this, you will be gearing up with friends, driving from near and far, boarding airplanes, riding bikes, jumping on trains, and preparing to gather in Rothbury.
After a year of planning, and a month of building out the festival grounds, here is what the staff on site already knows… This one is going to be different. This is the one.
I have seen it in everyone’s eyes as they watch stages being built, lights being turned on, and the phenomenon of Sherwood Forest coming to life… like never ever before. Yes, all of us who are already here know that this year will hands down be the best event ever in Rothbury.
It’s time for the rest of the team to jump in. We can’t wait to see you.
When you arrive, know that we are in it together. Help friends in need. Smile with those who were strangers only minutes ago. Remember that being safe with yourself is a huge key to enjoying the experience you hope to have. Release yourself from all that you have left behind to get to Rothbury. Know that the energy you put out is part of everyone’s experience.
Be prepared in knowing that social communities are stronger in real life. Truly rare social communities such as ours do not have boundaries.
