On the heels of this year’s edition of Beyond Wonderland Chicago, Insomniac today announced the 2027 festival will expand to three days, move to the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL, and offer onsite camping for the first time.
Renamed “Beyond Wonderland Midwest,” the 2027 event will take place June 11, 12, and 13 with expanded stage production, extended hours until 2 a.m., larger experiential offerings, and four nights of onsite car and RV camping with a Thursday pre-party.
The festival had been held at Northerly Island since it debuted in Chicago in 2024. Insomniac is no stranger to the Chicagoland Speedway, however, having hosted EDC Chicago there in 2013. That event failed to continue due in part to noise complaints from nearby neighborhoods.
Beyond Wonderland Midwest tickets go on sale at 12 noon this Thurs., June 19. Three-day general admission festival passes start at $149 including fees. Camping options are sold separately, starting at $149 for car camping (up to 6 campers per vehicle), $399 for unpowered RV camping (up to 8 campers or legal RV limit), and $899 for powered RV camping (up to 8 campers or legal RV limit). All passes can be purchased on layaway with a $5 deposit.
