Picture hammocks swinging in a line of shady trees, a sandy beach with an island bar, sprawling grassy meadows, and a creek-fed wading pond, all surrounded by a stunning snow-capped mountain backdrop. This is the gorgeous new venue that Vertex Festival will christen this Aug. 5-7 in Buena Vista, Colo.
Vertex is a new endeavor from the folks at Madison House Presents. After spending a week with that team at Electric Forest (their other beloved festival) and repeatedly hearing about this piece of natural bliss in Colorado, it’s clear that festival attendees are in for a real treat.
In addition to Vertex’s beautiful landscape, a number of daily “field trips” will be offered, including rafting, ghost town hiking tours, disc golf, and visits to downtown Buena Vista.
Musically, the inaugural festival will feature performances by Odesza, Alabama Shakes, Gramatik, Lettuce, the Trey Anastasio Band, Duke Dumont, Seven Lions, Emancipator Ensemble, and many more. Thanks to two main stages, the festival schedule will feature no overlapping sets. And we can’t forget to mention our excitement for morning music and late-night silent disco on the beach.
Three-day, two-day, and single-day Vertex Festival tickets are on sale now.
