Bassnectar, Gramatik invade central US in October

Professional bass head Lorin Ashton – better known as Bassnectar – is set to invade several central U.S. cities in October as part of his fall tour (see full schedule below).

Bassnectar, who says his life is “all a tour,” has become a household name in the Dubstep world. His 2010 release “Bass Head” off his Timestretch EP is his most popular track on Spotify and his 2011 remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” has also gained major attention as Goulding’s original version climbs the Top 40 charts.

Always exploring new sounds, Bassnectar has recently shown a slight lean towards his early heavy metal influencers, as evidenced by his darker, harder set at this year’s Lollapalooza.

Gramatik

Joining Bassnectar on this tour is digital freedom proponent Gramatik. Now signed to Pretty Lights Music, Gramatik has spent most of the summer appearing at festivals around the U.S. including Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Wanderlust and more. He’s sold hundreds of thousands of tracks on Beatport, topped the charts of multiple genres and was nominated for “Best Chill Out Track” at both the 2010 and 2012 Beatport Awards.

If you’re anywhere near St. Louis, drop everything and set your sights on Bassnectar’s tour stop at Chaifetz Arena on Oct. 6. This show, dubbed Bass Center VII, features a special appearance by Zeds Dead alongside Gramatik and Gladkill.

Previous Bassnectar tours have sold out dates within hours of going on sale. Not surprisingly, Bassnectar sold more tickets than any other EDM artist in 2011.
