Madison House Presents — producers of the Electric Forest festival — today formally announced plans to launch a new festival in Colorado this summer. Set for Aug. 5-7, Vertex Festival will be held in Buena Vista, Colo. and will feature three days of diverse music, camping, art, and a variety of outdoor experiences and activities.
The initial musical lineup includes ODESZA, Alabama Shakes, Trey Anastasio Band (two sets), Duke Dumont, Classixx, Robert Delong, Seven Lions, Badbadnotgood, Big Wild, Anderson.Paak and the Free Nationals, Dawes, Dopapod, Graham Nash, Fruition, Hiatus Kaiyote, Jai Wolf, Houndmouth, Rufus Du Sol, Ryan Hemsworth, Sunsquabi, The Revivalists, and The Claypool Lennon Delirium.
Tickets go on sale Fri., March 25 at 12 noon MT via vertexfestival.com.
Vertex’s venue, known as Cottonwood Meadows, is nested in a sprawling rangeland at the foot of the Continental Divide and surrounded by the year-round snowcapped 14,000-foot peaks of the Collegiate Mountain Range. Located a mile from downtown Buena Vista, Colo. in Chaffee County, Cottonwood Creek runs through the campgrounds and the festival site itself.
