Samples launches national tour, special edition hat with Grassroots California

Glitch-hop mastermind Ben Samples — known simply as “Samples” — is hitting the road this fall for an extensive cross country tour with Buckethead and the Polish Ambassador. The tour coincides with the release of his new album Appetite for Construction along with a special edition hat designed in cooperation with Grassroots California.

The album and hat are available in a special combo pack exclusively at grassrootscalifornia.com. A portion of sales from the hat/album collection are benefiting the Colorado Wildfire Fund to help victims of the summer fires in Ben’s home state.

Though Samples has been known mostly for his Glitch-hop style, he’s branching out on the latest release.

“I wrote a lot of these songs to be main floor anthems and heaters during sets,” he said in a press release. “Instead of focusing on the ‘Glitch Hop’ style of my past, I decided to branch out more into Dubstep and Electro House territory. This new concept on songwriting for the album lends a unique style and sound to Appetite for Construction.”
