Wakarusa producers introduce new Interstellar Meltdown festival on Mulberry Mountain this fall

An all-new festival is coming to Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Ark. this fall.

The producers of Wakarusa — together with Disco Donnie Presents and Waakan festival organizers — will introduce Interstellar Meltdown on Oct. 1-3, 2021.

The musical lineup includes Louis the Child, Liquid Stranger, Jack Harlow, Big Gigantic, The Glitch Mob, BUKU, Dirt Monkey, Emancipator, Evan Giia, Ghostland Observatory, Inzo, LSDream, Lettuce, Lucii, Magic City Hippies, Manic Focus, Masked Wolf, Mersiv, Phantoms, Ship Wrek, Snakehips, The Funk Hunters, Whethan, Yung Gravy, Break Science, Cassian, Pluko, Random Rab, Russ Liquid Test, Too Many Zooz, and more (see full lineup graphic below).

Tickets for Interstellar Meltdown go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tues., July 27.

Interstellar Meltdown as a brand isn’t entirely new. During Wakarusa’s heyday, Interstellar Meltdown was a “festival within a festival,” highlighting the late-night electronic music acts on the lineup.

Mulberry Mountain was previously home to Wakarusa and Harvest Music Festival until 2015. Waakan Music Festival was later hosted there in Oct. 2019, and an unrelated festival — Backwoods Music Festival — moved from Oklahoma to Mulberry Mountain in 2018 and will also be held there this Aug. 26-29, 2021.
