Atlanta’s CounterPoint festival debuts, announces lineup

Get ready Atlanta!

C3 Presents (producers of Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza) and MCP Presents (Lights All Night, Camp Bisco, BUKU) have joined forces to create CounterPoint, a new two-day music and arts festival this September 27-29. Organizers today announced the official lineup and it’s definitely something to get excited about.

Headlining this year’s festival is Bassnectar, Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Avicii and Steve Angello. But thats – by far – not all. M83, Excision, Laidback Luke, Alessso, Zeds Dead, Ghostland Observatory, Big Gigantic, MiM0SA, R3hab, Zedd, 12th Planet, and Beats Antique are all on the list. And it goes on and on from there.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 11 at 11am CT. No word yet on pricing.

CounterPoint will be held on the grounds of the “Echo Project” of year’s past in Fairburn, Ga. Organizers describe it as “8,000 acres of rolling pastures, lakes and woodlands along a 12-mile stretch of Chatahoochee River-front property.” It does look like on-site camping will be an available option for this festival. Shuttle packages to-and-from Atlanta hotels are also available.

Does this not sound like the perfect lineup, venue and time of year for a festival!?
