EDC NYC expands to three days, adds tickets

Insomniac Events today announced the New York version of the Electric Daisy Carnival — which happens less than a month before the main EDC Las Vegas event — will be expanded to three days after an “incredible response.”  When tickets first went on sale in February, Ticketmaster struggled to keep up with demand and passes sold out within a matter of hours.

The dates are now set for Friday, May 18 through Sunday, May 20 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. A second batch of tickets, though no one is sure of the amount, will go back on sale this Thursday, April 12 at 12 noon ET. Those who have already purchased tickets for the two-day festival have the option to purchase an “upgrade” to allow access on the newly added date (Friday).

So far the lineup consists of Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Alesso, An21 & Max Vangeli, Art Department, Avicii, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Chuckie, Danny Tenaglia , Erick Morillo, Fatboy Slim, John Digweed, R3hab, Steve Angello, Thomas Gold, and Hot Natured. More are expected to be announced in the coming days.
